The sweet spot for maternity photos is ideally 29 to 32 weeks of pregnancy. But anywhere between 26 to 36 weeks would also work great depending on how you’re feeling! Pick the mini session date that is closest to that range.

If you are too early into your pregnancy for these dates but would have loved to book a mini session, please write me at benthuesphotography@gmail.com and let me know how many weeks pregnant you currently are. If I get enough demand I might be able to open more days for the end or the year and early next year!

WHAT does a mini maternity SESSION ENTAIL?

  • A 5min to 25min photography session in a professional photography studio.
  • Includes one to two outfits depending on package!
  • First outfit is a “slip on” outfit: either a black turtleneck black dress, a mesh dress, a black bodysuit, or your own clothes (jeans, dress shirt, your own gown, etc).
  • Second outfit is a beautiful gown built directly on you from the fabric of your choice.
  • Posing guidance through the entire mini session!
  • Beautiful professionally edited images. Number of images varies depending on chosen package.
  • Possible upgrade for more digital photos!
  • Professional quality prints available for purchase.

FAQ

offer a client closet, however you are welcome to bring your own clothes if you wish for your first outfit! A simple dress shirt or jeans and a bra are always beautiful in natural light. If you choose package 2 or 3, I will be making a dress directly on you as your second outfit: for this, I highly recommend bringing a strapless bra to make it easier to build the outfit on you.

I do not provide hair & makeup services for the mini sessions. However, I will be sharing some recommendations once you book you mini in case you wish to go to a professional to get ready for your session.

Once you sign up for the VIP list, you will automatically be receiving emails with instructions on how to book. It will be super easy! On September 21st you will be sent an email to announce the opening of the minis. This email will contain a link to select your mini date & time, and payment of your desired package.

If you wish to have your partner, your child, or your whole family in some of the photos, you would need to get package 3! Mini sessions go by extremely fast, and packages 1 and 2 (respectively 5 and 15min) will be just enough time to get the perfect solo maternity poses.

One to two weeks after your mini session, we will meet virtually (via a zoom call) to reveal your photos! You will select your photos and can purchase more if desired. You will receive an online gallery with your photos right after our call.

Hi! I’m Kelly. I own Bent Hues Photography and specialize in Maternity, Newborn and Elopement photography services. My style can be described as Fine Art, Cinematic, and Authentic.

For me, a quality experience is just as important as quality images. Proud holder of an MFA in Cinematography from Paris & over 10 years of experience behind the camera — I can assure you that you’ll be in good hands!
