Kaia’s Maternity Photography Session in Maitland, FL

It’s funny how sometimes you meet a stranger and instantly connect with them. That’s how it was when I first met Kaia for a maternity photoshoot in Maitland, FL. She’s a fellow entrepreneur who decided to go for her dreams and experience the joy of motherhood. To celebrate her upcoming little one, she wanted to preserve the memories with a piece of art.
Adding Sentimental Accessories to Your Maternity Photos
Like every maternity photoshoot, we started with a pre-session consultation to pick out her outfits and accessories. It was here that I learned Kaia was having a baby girl that she planned to name Sapphire. So, of course she had to incorporate a few special pieces of sapphire jewelry into the look to pay homage to baby Sapphire. She carefully chose a beautiful set – a necklace, ring, earrings, and bracelet. The gemstones looked lovely against her black gown and white, drapey sheet.
The Best Maternity Portraits Are Experimental
During the session, Kaia experimented with different poses, props, and even black-and-white photography. She was comfortable and expressive. Each photo was better than the last. She was at times the picture of feminine strength and serenity as she gazed upon her small bump. The photos turned out beautiful, and Mom and I couldn’t be happier. I hope one day grown-up Sapphire looks at these photos and is in awe of the inspiring mother she has!
